Labradoodles Appearance

The Australian Labradoodle has a very unique look to match it’s lean and muscular build. They are generally a very athletic and graceful dog. Their wonderful personality exudes happiness, affection and loyalty.

Sizes

The Labradoodle is available in three sizes, Standard (largest), Medium, and Miniature (smallest).

  • Standard - 22 - 26 inches, weighs 22-42 kg (~45-90 pounds)
  • Medium - 18 - 21 inches, weighs 15 to 21 kg (~30-45 pounds)
  • Miniature 14- 17 inches, weighs 10 to 15 kg (~20-30 pounds)

Coat

Multigeneration Labradoodle coats generally are odorless to nearly odorless and generally shed free to limited shedding. This is a major and very important difference between a multi-gen Labradoodle and a Lab/Poodle cross ("F1 Labradoodle·). They really should not be considered Labradoodles until they are bred six generations deep.

  • Wool-like: generally the most allergy friendly, shed free coat. It feels and appears coarse but is quite soft to the touch.
  • Spiral Fleece: very little shedding making it quite allergy friendly. Is very soft and has flowing curls
  • Wavy Fleece: softest and shiniest of the coats
